Born in Lima, Fernando received his law degree with honors from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 1973 and was admitted to the Bar in 1974.
He holds a master’s degree in international administration from the American Graduate School of International Management, Glendale, Arizona, U.S.A (1975) and an M.B.A from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. (1975).
Fernando has served as general counsel to the general manager of Banco de la Nación, participating in international financing contracts in which Banco de la Nación acted as financial agent of the Peruvian government (1976-1977).
He has been a senior partner at Estudio Lavalle (1982-1985); Estudio Martínez, Bellido, Berninzon & Lavalle (1986-1993); and Bellido Abogados (since 1993).
He has also acted as President of the Board of Directors of Hoteles Sheraton del Perú S.A. and as member of the board of directors of Banco Sudamericano, among other major companies.
Fernando’s areas of specialization include real estate, corporate, banking, foreign investment and tourism law.

Born in Lima, Jaime received his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 1994 and was admitted to the Bar in 1995.
He earned a post-graduate diploma in mining and environmental law from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in 2008.
Jaime has been involved in large-scale international transactions, advising multinational companies, which has given him comprehensive knowledge of global commercial and professional standards and practices.
He advises mining companies on the various aspects of their activities in Peru, from their incorporation and the process obtaining mining licenses, follow-up on administrative processes to obtain permits and authorizations, contract negotiation, project and financing structuring and analysis of legal aspects of environmental impact studies. Jaime also led teams performing due diligence during the purchase and sale of large companies. His work for finance companies included preparing and negotiating the first real estate trust contract registered with the Public Registry of Lima.
Jaime has vast experience in advising aircraft leasing companies, structuring operations, formalizing guarantees and recovering and re-exporting aircraft. He has also advised telecommunications companies, including processes to obtain concessions.
Since 1993, Jaime has acted as chair or member of the boards of directors of several companies, including mining companies and the country's largest shoemaker, leading successful restructuring processes. These roles give him in-depth knowledge of the business sector and its needs and perspectives.
He has been a member of several committees (publishing, mining and bilateral trade) in bi-national Chambers of Commerce, which has led him to explore various issues regarding the law and current events in Peru and to provide support to Peru's image as a country with extensive investment opportunities.
